Size of Government

There are statistics and studies that claim our state government is too large per-capita, however, no one has produced a “Right Size" figure. This is because the right size of Government is that which executes the functions of government with the least tax burden. Our small population relative to the size of our land mass calls into question standard government employee per capita statistics, correction methods notwithstanding. With a greatly expanded workload we will find that our state government will right size itself.

Working with our Legislature we will assume the management of all our lands and their attended natural resource wealth. This will greatly increase the workload and responsibilities of our state employees.

A wise and successful General once said “You go to war with the army you have.”
Undertaking a greatly expanded responsibility, we need all hands on deck!
